I have a two year old red foot and I built her an enclosure! It's waterproof on the bottom with roofing paper but should I have more water proofing? Also I wanted to make a vent in the back how do I go about that and lastly what would be the best "pond" idea I want it to be filtered ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1489458691.861558.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1489458700.873166.jpg

I would use a pond liner not roofing material for the bottom . If you open it daily no need for venting . You'll have trouble keeping in humidity. As for a pond use a ceramic potted plant saucer. Change water daily . They grow pretty quickly so he'll only be able to use that enclosure for a few years at the most . Take that time and money and build him an outdoor Oasis.

I agree there is no need for a vent. For waterproofing I used thick black contractor bags that I staple in the sides with a staple gun. They are also lining the floor. Then I lay down a small tarp on the floor as well,
