I've got clover (with the yellow flowers), which I've heard is a no-no.

White ground clover (like red clover, but the white variety).

Something that I found out via this forum that is called spurge and I have no idea if its ok to eat...?

Creeping Charlie. How do I get rid of this without hurting little Tornado with chemicals?

And something that resembles Viola, but I'm not sure what it is and we haven't been in our home long enough to see if it flowered.

Can he eat the fluffy tops of this grass?

THANK YOU!!!

Ok...what looks like spurge but isn't - that wireweed. Its edible, but not palatable.

Yes, he can eat the fluffy tops of the grass.

the clover but its not is oxalis, and shouldn't be fed.

The white ground clover is really burr clover. Its edible, but not tasty.

Spurge is ok in small quantities. Desert tortoises love it and eat it in the wild.

You just have to pull the charlie out by the roots, and keep at it.

Thanks!

I sit and pull the Creeping Charlie all day long. It's nice and relaxing to dig for those roots in the grass when all of the kids are in the house!

Here's a couple other things I've found that I do not know what they are.

It's really hard to see that plant. It had these little green balls with white flowers on top. It stuck straight up out of the ground like a tiny tree.

That one is large and fuzzy.

Are mushrooms safe?

Some are and some aren't. It can be very difficult to tell them apart even for people who study mushrooms. The safe bet is to not let your tortoise eat the ones that grow wild. The ones sold for human consumption are fine.
