hello, just thought I would introduce myself, I have a russian tortoise, named Tokyo and he is my first, had him when he was just a year old back in 2009. Hmm... I say 'he' but you cant tell till they are older? Although he's in a vavarium, he loves a short time out in the garden (weather permitting). Anyway hoping to meet some life long friends workld-wide. I am in the UK :)

Hi Holly:

Welcome to the Tortoise Forum!!

We have quite a few UK members here, and many, many Russian keepers.

Welcome! I agree, that doesn't appear to be a Russian Tortoise. You might post some pictures on the main tortoise discussion page to get help with the species ID. It's a good looking tortoise though, whatever species it is!

Could that be a Herman's Tortoise?

I agree. Looks more like a Hermann's.
