Any change of the heat lamp or ceramic heater melting the plexiglass?
Check on the enclosures thread to see what others have done and for tips of how to do it safely.

Here is my boston terrier Murphy meeting Ricky Bobby. As soon as the tortoise moved towards him he got scared and ran away barking.

My old english bulldog Bronson is still a little too excited for meetings. He is very curious

They are lovely dogs, but please don't underestimate the fact that even the most trusted, usually friendly dogs could take offence to or be afraid of your tort which could result in an injury or death. It has caught out many tort keepers.

If you do a search about dogs you will see many stories about dog attacks such as this,
Some cats have also caused damage to tort shells, eyes etc.
Plus there is the risk of illness from bacteria etc.

Oh I would never trust them with him. I just wanted them to get a good sniff and know what's there so they aren't so curious. They are put in our room when I'm not home so they are not tempted to get a closer look.
