Hello, just bought my very first tortoise five days ago. A three to four month old sulcata. Ive been learning a lot from your forum and from Tom care sheet this past few days, it's a lot more work than I thought.
I live in the caribbean where the weather is between 85 and mid 90 all year, humidity is between 65 and 70%. So it's pretty easy to maintain the humidity in the inclosure at 94%.
Only have a basking light, no UBV light since I take him/she out everyday for about an hour. My substrate is a mix of orchid bark and coconut coir and been soaking twice a day.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
