Hello everyone, figured I'd do one of these threads before I start drilling everyone for information. I'm an experienced reptile keeper with experience working with everything from hots to crocodilians; but I mostly keep pythons. I haven't had any real experience with torts so I'm looking to learn everything I can from the senior members. I've unexpectedly taken in a little redfoot that has some pyramiding and came to me with watery eyes and noisey breathing. I currently have him in an Xmas tree tub with organic soil mixed with repti bark and sphagnum moss ontop (ill be posting some questions in the enclosure section immediately after this thread). Over the past 3 days he's been here I've soaked him about 15 minutes a day; the watery eyes have improved hugely and the breathing noises seem to be gone. Now off to learn.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

Watery eyes sometimes means too hot, sometimes means too dry.
