I'm a new Hermann Tortoise owner, The little guy is 7 months old and I'm so excited to bond with him! But, I'm not sure how... I'm open to any ideas on how to be the little guys BFF!

Tortoises don't bond to people. People can certainly bond with their tortoises though. Your tortoise will never see you as a "friend". It will see you as a food goddess, and perhaps a source of warmth. It should desensitize to your presence and activities over time and with some size, but it will not return your affection in the way you are thinking.

Having said all of that, go ahead and love your new little guy or gal, and do your very best to provide the right environment, lighting, heat and humidity, and diet. Interact and have fun.
