Hey guys! This spring, when all of the Box Turtle hatchlings start coming out, I am planning on getting one. I'm gonna keep it indoors, so I need to have a light. I've heard about these timers that automatically turn the light on and off, but where could I get one, and how do they work? Do you need a special lamp, or would it work with one of the clip-ons? Thanks. :D

Something like this should be available at Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart or most any hardware store. Just program it, plug in your light and that's it.

Digital with a battery backup is best, that way if there is a power outage, you don't have to reset the time or reprogram.

You mention heating in the title, what type of light do you have?

I have one of those lights that you can clip on to stuff (the metal ones) and I was planning on getting a UVB bulb with it. And with the timer, do you just plug it into the wall and plug the lamp into the timer?
