How far from the bottom do you keep the che in the terrarium? Mine seems to be not working right.

I have a 100 watt CHE that sits about 18" above the substrate and a 75 watt CHE in another enclosure that sits about 14" above.
Both are on thermostats and do a perfect job of maintaining my ambient and night temperatures.
