hatchling outside???

hello everyone. for some of you that live in SO CAL it was like 88 degrees today. at least where i live it was. And i just got my hatchling leo tort on tuesday thanks to arizona sulcata. my question is, under very close supervision can my little baby go outside?

Yes, but he should be in an enclosure of some sort. If you click the links in my signature, there are several ideas in the Helpful Threads link. Because its so dry here, I only like to sun small ones for an hour or two at most, and then soak them afterwards before putting them back in their indoor enclosure. I gradually leave them out longer and longer as they gain size.

I do what Tom does.

My Leopard hatchlings had 2 hours outside in their pen today and yesterday! :D
I don't trust "close supervision". I built them their own pen with solid plywood walls 12" tall with a 4" perimeter lip. They enjoy the outdoors safely and won't get lost on my watch.
