Here is what I found this morning in the incubator. Any guesses to the species?

Hopefully a Sulcata and you live down the road from me in Carlisle PA....that's my guess....am I right?????

I'm guessing some sort of Pyxis.

Im going to agree with Yvonne here. The size of that egg and shape looks pyxis also im going to guess brygooi or arachnoides arachnoides because of the 4 month duration according to the date on the egg too soon for oblonga or plaunacauda.


SOOOOOOO what is it?

Not a Pyxis or Sulcata. Egg is larger than any of our Pyxis eggs.

No idea. I would say impressa, but I would imagine they have more spherical eggs (although I have ever seen any). Pancake?

BINGO!!! It is in fact a baby Pancake!! It is a fast hatching one at that!! 113 days is a very short incubation period for a Pancake egg!!

SWEET! I want pics once he's out. Pancakes are simply gorgeous as babies... well as adults too I suppose...

I am sure he will be out and ready to go when I check him in the morning! They are so feisty!! They are rearing to go right out of the egg! I will post pics later when I check on him.
