I just found this little page about GUS!! I'm so touched! I've been so focused on finding him and reading the thread "HELP I'm Heartbroken..." that I haven't done much else on here.

There needs to be a national tortoise forum convention - or something similar. One of the cool things about the tarantula hobby is the American Tarantula Society and their annual conference. We not only get to interact, buy, trade, and learn about the animals we love, but we get to meet all of the great people we know from the forums. I would love to be able to meet you all in person some day. Preferably with Gus sitting next to me munching on the dandelions that are currently waiting for his return...

I think that is a great idea, and would be honered to meet someone as kind as you in real person, and yes with gus sitting beside you!
