Hello,
It's a growing question. My little Sheldon eats good, pottys good. I have been tracking his
growth since I got him in November last year.

11/16/14. 53 g. 2.5 inch SCL
12/05/14. 49.5 g . 2.5 inch SCL
12/13/14. 53 g. 2.5 inch SCL
2/07/15. 68 g. 2.75 inch SCL
3/04/15. 80 g. 3 inch SCL
3/21/15. 94 g 3 inch SCL

So in his growing, I just notice besides his dome size growing smooth but his "eyebrows"
or little eye bumps where eye brows would be. He's keep humid and his eyes seem fine.
What are those bumps called ? When I search the internet it seems like not all species
have this facial characteristic. Just curious what you all think. Thus is a pic of my Sheldon this morning.

I have no idea what they are actually called. I would describe them as either eyebrows like you said or the upper portion of the eye socket. But all looks good to me too.

Thanks Wellington, yesterday I caught a glimpse of Sheldon at an angle that didnt appear normal because of those eye brows. Had me wondering and searching the internet.

One thing I noticed about the desert-type tortoises, if they're being kept too dry the ridges above the eyes start to get a whitish cast to them. The white sort of makes it look like they're swollen a little. Are you keeping the tortoise moist enough?

That is very interesting Yvonne. We had a bit of a cold snap here in Orlando and I didn't soak Turbo for 3 days. I just gave him a nice long bath a few minutes ago and I noticed his (eyebrows) looked a bit whiter than normal. I thought I might be because I didn't soak him like normal. Now you just confirmed it.

Hes humid and there no whitish, I think with Sheldon growing his scales
are showing a line or crease on the brow area that wasnt present before. Pic of December vs. Today pic.
Whitish thing good to know though, I think I would be wonder if it was hard water spots if I saw whitish.
