I have a friend that has horses and he gave me a whole bag of this dried out grass. It's actually greener than it looks in the picture. Is this good for sulcatas? I'm going to try it,, I cut some up in small pieces. Is this the roughage folks talk about?

Yea, if you can get them to eat it that would be great fibrous mass for them.

cut it up or mix his greens into it and he will eat it while trying to eat the greens and they learn its food...

That looks like orchard grass hay. Mine love it. For the last few years I have been feeding the Bermuda hay and I recently switched to orchard grass on the recommendation of a very knowledgable tortoise man. I switched gradually, just to be safe, but they seem to like the orchard grass even more than the Bermuda. Mind you, they will still eat any of it, but they tend to make the orchard grass disappear quicker.
