Gooseberry

Hi all
Just a quick one. I'm guessing the answer is no.
My mum has got that many gooseberry bushes she doesn't know what to do with all the fruit, pies,crumbles,wine,puree, you name it she's made it. Freezer is full. Lol. Can redfoots eat gooseberries?

I would imagine they probably can, actually. The tortoise table is cautious about the leaves, but even they say the fruit is alright for fruit-eating species: http://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/site/plants_19.asp?catID=719

Hey Craig,
First--I'm coming to your house for dessert
Second-my tortoise has snagged a few gooseberries with no problems (which is naughty because she isn't a fruit eating species). She's also snacked on the leaves over two summers with zero side effects. Enjoy your berries!
