According to @kobe this tortoise was captured as a hatchling - "similar to the size of his aunt's" hatchlings. From the pictures it looks like he is keeping them in a very nice outdoor and natural enclosure?? From watching my stars grow, I can certainly see how this one is in its 3rd year of growth. Here is what I see with the growth of this tortoise with the growth labeled by year...Judging by the growth rings and very minimal current growth and wear on shells I believe your tortoises are at least 12 to 15 years old.
@kobe could you post a picture of the enclosure where you keep your tortoises? These are very nice tortoises with great, natural growth. Can you explain how you keep them? Thanks!!
