Garden snake

hi all just a question today i went out to gt my tortoise out of his enclosure and thre was a baby garden snake in his enclosure will the snake hurt him thanks

Depends on how big your tortoises. But I would try to get the snake out of there, look for more, there's usually more than one if you find a baby.

I have baby garter snakes I see in my tortoise enclosures. Lots of lizards too. I love them. No way a baby garter would hurt a tortoise. They're looking for slugs, young frogs, insects. A little bigger and they will clean out a nest of voles or mice quickly. I will take garter, gopher, king snakes and put them in my pond area and tortoise enclosures! It's the rodents that wreak havoc with me!! Snakes are the best natural control of rodents that will not hurt our tortoises.

What species of snake are we talking about. Do you mean "garter" snake?
