Do tortoises go through growth spurts? He/she has been putting new growth on the shell like crazy for the past couple of months. Nice smooth growth. Weighed in this evening at 643 grams. 99 grams last Sept 4th the day we received him.
How big before we can tell if male or female? The girls in my house are starting to insist it's female from what they're reading on some Facebook group .....

You are right. It is too early to sex that tortoise visually.

Lol, well I guess the girls won't get to re name him yet. They're dying to change the name from frogmore to frogalicious.
