I bought these two from a guy up near Sacramento several years ago. Even though they free range in a huge outdoor area they like to hangout together. No aggression, no mating, they just walk around together.

You see friends. I see the dominant tortoise keeping a close eye on the interloper and trying to intimidate the intruder out of its territory.
