Freezing Weeds

I live in New York, so weeds aren't availble all year 'round. Is there a method to freeze them? I have tons of dandelion, plantain, and probably even more weeds in my yard that are tortoise edible. So would it be okay to collect them and freeze them, and offer them throughout the winter?

I heard if people putting weeds in a food processor, grinding them all up and then making little weeds cubes in ice trays for the freezer. Not sure how well it works though...
