Hey guys got a question I have a Russian tortoise and I normally feed him zoo med grassland food but this time I sent my friend to pick it up for me a she got zoo med forest tortoise food can I feed the forest food to my russian tortoise thank you for the advice

Hi Randi, and welcome to the Forum!

I'm surprised a Russian tortoise will eat the Zoo Med Grassland Tortoise food. Russian tortoises don't eat much grass, as they're browsers and eat broad-leaf weeds and plants. I thought the forest food would contain more fruit, but the list of ingredients only shows mango. At any rate, since your tortoise isn't a forest tortoise, I would take that back and exchange it.

Next time you go to the store, buy some of the package salads like spring mix, santa barbara mix, etc. Not the ones that are mostly iceburg lettuce. You can also buy turnip greens and collard greens.
