My newest tort spends most of her time burried, we didn't get off to the best of starts, she had a heavy worm/parasite load so needed meds and some patches of shell rot, she was off her food for quite a long time after her meds.
Now things were looking up, she is getting her appetite back slowly (still fussy but miles better), but has developed a flakey, patchy beak? Her beak is nice and short but I'm not sure if this is something to be concerned about? My guesses about what she might be lacking is UVB because she spends all day burried apart from if I dig her up? Or maybe because her diet has been poor and lacking vitamins for months?
Anyone know anything about this sort of thing?
I will post a pic when I get home from work.
