So, I will be purchasing my first and long awaited tortiose.
I have a 4ft by 3ft indoor tank. Hides, bowls and will put fresh substrate when I get him home.
However, I have heard glass tanks add stress onto them since they don't understand the concept of glass.
Could I use window frost paint on the OUTSIDE of the tank to restrict his view? Or maybe decorative duct tape?

just wrap up the lower part of the glass with paper (on the outside)
Okay. I'll find some decorative paper to put around it. Thanks so much. What kinda plants are good to plant inside the tank?

In 35 years of using glass tanks for turtles and tortoises, this has never been a problem for me.

What species are you getting? Age?
