It's only 50F and I'm surprised he's eating but he's young so he probably came out early. I won't feed them anymore as I'm getting ready to leave this house but it's still pretty cool to see him come out and over to eat.
Wow. He looks expectant. Hope the new owners love him as much as you do, Jeff. Not likely. Make sure you have a serious MUST LOVE WILDLIFE rule for any buyers.
When we moved from Kingston up to the mountains, I took my entire population of galliwasps from the walled garden where they lived because I knew that they would be sprayed or hacked to death. They are thriving up here in the bush! And that was nine years ago.
Is that a BLUE TAIL? Or 3 lined Skink?
We've got those here.
The seem to be one of the few lizards tough enough to live with the CURLY TAIL lizard take-over.
He or she is a 5 lined Skink and I'm feeding it a few fresh & wet meal worms. Too early to tell gender but the boldness lone makes me think a male but in truth, I know very little about lizards.
I will miss them......typically each summer I get 3-4 regulars on this deck and up to 6 or 8 on the other larger decks. Funny but I never see them in the yard....they stay on the deck and borrow under the sunroom frame on this side but on the other, they are all ground dwellers.
I LOVE that idea Tammy but I agree, it would be a very small market I would be selling to!
