Couple of things...I'd like to see your waterer sunk down lower into the ground, and you should put a triangular shaped piece of wood/plywood over the corner above the plant pot in the front left corner.

Your set up is really fantastic, but I agree with Yvonne. You need a bigger water pond so they can get into it and really get a good soak on a warm day, and it should be sunk down level with the ground. How about some Hosta's or little shrubs that they can sit under. I notice mine don't go into their cave until night time. During the day they will spend hours sitting under the hosta's. I also have some nice ornimantal grass that they sit under. Someone once told me that if you can't find your box turtles then your turtle garden is perfect. Creeping Jenny, ground cover is great too. The size is perfect, and I love that little cave. I really love your garden. I just think it's needs lots more plants, otherwise it's great.

That's wonderful. I LOVE your set up. I am a plant nut. I have plants all over my house, in my turtle garden, tortoise garden, and also have a veggie garden, and a flower garden. I hope I didn't offend you in any way. This is just how I do things. My Dad always said "first make a beautiful flower garden, and then put your turtles in." He was a gardener, and gave me a love of plants and turtles.

I want to put in some bushes but I can't figure out which one. We are also still have the occasional frost so I don't want to get the plants and have them die on me
