I'm working on accumulating as many edible plants and/or their seeds as I can, so as to be able to grow a variety of edibles for my shelled beasties.

BTW, add spineless prickly pear cactus (Opuntia tuna and ellisiana are two easy to find varieties) to your list, as nearly all tortoises go nuts over the pads and fruits. Very easy to grow, as well.

Short but interesting article: http://www.lutherburbank.org/about-us/specialty-gardens/spineless-cactus
