I planted sulcata food seeds and it is growing faster than Samson can eat it. Is it possible to cut the grass, dry it out and feed it to him that way? If so, how do I get it dried out and how long will it keep? I have a plastic dish tub full at the moment and don't know what to do with it!

Just be sure to spread it out and turn it every so often. Letting it pile up on itself causes it to ferment and get hot, then rot. I've never tried this, so I don't know first hand how palatable it will be to the tortoise dried. However, I see them picking at dried stems in the pasture all the time. Let us know how it works for you.
