Cucumber for tortoise

Hello. I am seeing some tortoise that have a very good smooth shell. I do not know the tortoise exact temp and humidity where they are raising. But they have one similarity, it seems they have been raised by someone which does not know anything regarding humidity and why it is important. And another similarity is, the tortoise eat cucumber. @Tom i would like your opinion or maybe you can conduct an expirement, i just love your experiment.
