I've always wondered if my little "CupCake" came from Cowboy, but knowing what hussies they are , I'll never know. 
Even though I'd done lots of research, seen Aldabras in zoos, and your photos - nothing quite prepares you for the prehistoric giants up close , especially Cowboy.
I look at your photos now & then & try to imagine my CupCake at even 1/2 that size..

~ He comes over just to be touched and scratched.
He looks to be such a beautiful gentle giant. Although I'm satisfied with our California Desert Tortoise, I'm fascinated by Aldabras. If only I had the space. Happy New Year, friends.
That looks like a wonderful moment I hope to experience with an Aldabra some day! <3
