Hi all. I have a couple of questions regarding feeding and soaking.

I just got Homer last Sunday, so he is still adjusting and spending lots of time in his hide. Should I give him an adjustment period before I start soaking him, or just start.

And about dandelions - can I just go outside and pick the ones that grow everywhere and give those to him?

Thanks,
Tom

Soaking should start the day your tort arrives and each day there after (if hatchling or young tort especially) to help assure hydration during their adjustment period...

Yes, dandelions can be collected and fed...BUUUUT ...you will want only to do this in areas you absolutely know has no pesticides/herbicides/fertilizers or any other chemicals....:D
