Unfortunately I keep reading conflicting information about tortoise edible herbs. My one year old marginated tortoise “ buddy ” so I'm very interested in other carer's experience's in what their breed enjoys and what's toxic....?

As far as serving up fresh green herbs, I’ve noticed that strongly scented herbs are off putting for our Sulcata. Thyme, oregano, mint, etc all highly scented just don’t seem interesting.

I was wondering what kind of herbs you have in mind?

At the moment I've just been using parsley. Spreading it throughout the table so he can forage.

Thanks. I'll look at that.
Parlsey is 'do not feed ' for reasons given on the website

This is the caresheet you need for your tort, it covers everything and will give you a list of suggested foods for Mediterranean species.

Ask as many questions as you like to clarify anything.

If you want to post pics of his enclosure and lamps you'll get good feedback to make sure it is a safe happy home for your tort.
