Coco coir or wood chip?

When I bought my little RT a little over 2 weeks ago I was provided with wood chips.. However this coco coir looks more suitable?? Or even top soil which I've seen people using? Or maybe both!?

I use a mixture of coco coir and "clean" dirt from my backyard. This mixture works well for my Russians. It stays nice and moist underneath and they can burrow into it easily.
