My little yellow footed tortoise eats cubes of fruit. I was wondering; could tortoises choke on fruit? & if so, how would I save him?

If I remember correctly. Last year someone had a tort they thought was choking on a piece of food. Not sure how you'd be able to help, but to try and pull in put with a blunt pair of twisters or something. At least thats what would be my guess. Why not just mash them or snot so small that one bite could fit his whole mouth, make it have to be bitten into pieces.

Well I while back I found my baby Leopard chocking on some bark, I was so scared and reacted so fast that I just picked him up and took it all out with my pinky. His mouth was wide open and he was trying to use his claws to take 5 pieces of repti bark out of his mouth. Lesson learned! Stick with coco coir.
