cherryhead breeding activity

ok, i use a combo of crushed coconut fiber and peat moss for substrate, and everytime i soak it down with water, my male cherryhead runs around the cage high up on all fours wagging his tail back and forth through the substrate with his penis sticking out. and i know alot of you are laughing, but i;m serious. has anyone else seen this behavior?
