Some of you may have seen my photos on facebook but I thought I'd post them all here with what I did!

So within the past 2 weeks I built my 4" Cherry Head girl a new enclosure from a book shelf! It was super easy and the cheapest enclosure I've ever spent money on for any of my reptiles, LOL.

I started out with the empty book shelf on it's back, which I had to rearrange my whole reptile room with the help of my partner to make this fit!

I didn't reinforce the back of the bookshelf or anything since it was just going to be laying on the floor. If I was going to make it into a raised table I would have put a new back in of course, but it didn't need it.
I started out by putting in one of the shower curtains and nailing it at the top to secure it.

I siliconed the first shower curtain to the bookshelf.

Then I put the other shower curtain in, nailed it at the top as well and got them all in place, then proceeded to silicone the second one down. Once those were both dry I put a third seal of silicone to seal the last crack in between the two curtains.

I finished off with duct taping the edges of the shower curtains in a few places on each edge just to make sure it wouldn't rip off of the nails. Then once the silicone was cured and dry I added the dirt!

After I set up her lights I moved Morla in!

The next day I got her more hides and it looks like this now.

For about a week I had her new enclosure covered by a plastic drop sheet to attempt to keep humidity in, but that wasn't working much at all so I had to get her cover built!

I used 1/2" pvc pipe and with the help of my partner we built this frame.

Got the plastic on with some silicone and duct tape reinforcement.

And this is what it looks like all finished!

Next in the plans is to acquire some live plants, stones, cork bark and such to decorate and make her home a lot more awesome!

Looks good. I sure hope it doesn't leak and ruin that nice wood floor. Make sure you keep your live plants in pots so the roots don't grow all over the place and make a leak. I had to learn that lesson the hard way.

Yeah I hope not! Plants were definitely going to stay in their pots as I want to be able to remove half eaten ones to let them re-grow when needed. :)

Thanks you two! My girl has so much more room now, I love it! I just need to fill it up with plants and such and then it'll be great! :D
