changing emails?

So, as you probably know, you need an email to make an account here. It's really handy because it sends an email when you have an alert. I've been using my school email. But I've created a new one (once I leave my school our accounts are deleted). When I go to high school, the account Will no longer exist. How do I change my email on here? So that it will send emails to the New account?

Top right click on your username. A box drops down, click on "contact alerts" your email appears, then you can change it.

So sorry, it does say contact details, then across from that it says alerts. I must have read it as one when I looked it up.
