How often should I give my 4-5 month old hatchlings calcium powder? Thank you.

I take a pinch between my finger and thumb and sprinkle it over their food once a week. They also have free access to cuttlebone (you can buy this at the pet shop in the bird section. It is part of the skeleton of the cuttlefish).

The cuttlebone works great for my little sulcata. He can get however much he thinks he needs.

Cuttlebone was introduced to my tort's, but neither seem interested in it, and in fact, have pooped all over it several times, LOL.

At the recent rep show, I was given Repti-Calcium without D3; has anyone used this particular brand, and if I'm not mistaken, the D3 is not required when they get sunlight.. is that right? I think Yvonne mentioned it before in a posting..?

Thanx peeps!

I have both rep-cal products.... But I have read that if you get your tortoise 20min of sunlight everyday then you wont need the calcium w/3... but i have both for days when i cant take them out.
