Cactus pad / prickly pear for young tortoise?

I just went to the Mexican supermarket near my brothers house for the first time, and holy crap their selection is much better and cheaper than the Kroger near me.

Anyway I picked up some palm cactus pads and prickly pear fruit. Is it safe for my ~5 month old redfoot? (Removing spines of course)

(I also got some turnip greens, strawberries, and yellow squash)

Yes it is.
I also remove the spines. But apparently it's not required.

Yes! Safe, and very good for them too. No need to remove the spines, but you can if you want to.
