.. aka Asian Box turtles.



These little guys are not real big on being approached with the camera.. so they are quick to scurry away - which makes it difficult to get clear pics.

Gotta love the colors of these..



Must be doing something right.. the growth seems to be nice and consistent..

beautiful yellow heads! i thought asians had a darker head though? They look like chinese box turtles to me, but i may be wrong.

Man..... you guys are tuff! Last time I looked.. China is in Asia?

Yes these are more commonly known as Chinese box turtle!!!

You youngsters won't give Grampa a break will you?

A very light colored Asian.. aka Ambo box -

The problem lies in the fact that Flavos are distributed in China, where Amboinensis are distributed throughout many "Asian" countries.......So calling a Flavo an "Asian" Box Turtle really has no merit, hence the differentiation......

Haha I was just mentioning it aka Chinese as well I've heard it both was Asian and Chinese. But also have heard Indonesia box turtle as Asian box turtle. Also heard just flavos

I've even heard them referred to as the "Chinese Snake-Eating Turtle"! No joke! Used to have one, he was such a character!
