i recently saw these bulbs at my local farm and home supply store. with the coupon this month, they would only cost $2.50. i have not purchased one yet, because i wondered if anyone else had ever used anything like it?
i'm presently using this bulb:
i also have a reptisun 10.0 fluorescent bulb in the enclosure.
would that infrared cheap bulb be a replacement for the halogen bulb? i realize it wouldn't have uva rays, but do i need that since i have the reptisun 10.0?? i'm also a bit concerned because that infrared bulb is a lot bigger in width than the halogen bulb and looks as if it would be really bright. i'm concerned about my torts eyes if i would use that light. the only reason i'm asking is that with my set up, i have to move my heat lamp once in awhile, which results in me blowing bulbs fairly frequently.
