Henry is a pretty smart boy. When I put on his calcium powder he will shake his food to get it off. I have started putting on the powder and spraying it with water.
This is the look I get:

Even after I tell him I am doing it for his own good... sheesh

LOL! I am so amazed at how smart the tortoises are!

Comrad would push any offending red or purple leafy food out of the rest of the yummy green food. He also got wise to the way I was giving him his medicine (give him a bite of a treat - when he opened his mouth I would shoot some in) and would stay away from me and the food if I had the syringe of meds.

That little bugger is really smart. Betty doesn't care about the powder and just eats it but he will shake it for a while and almost all the powder ends up on his food dish :p
That little wrinkly neck and tensed up look he is giving me right there is funny. Normally he just eats and doesnt care if I am running around like a mad woman. He definitely was sending me a message.

Lol rowdy wipes it off with his front feet. he also does it with his grassland tortoise food too. He only likes fresh greens. Lol they are truly smart animals. The vet told me to put calcium on his food every day. He said I couldn't give him to much calcium or to much sun. I don't every day he hate it. :( maybe I should for his health. Your tort is pretty. ;)
