AND for those that might want to see a few young adult Kinixys erosa.. AKA "Forest Hinge-backs".
K. erosa are kept in DARK enclosures. Mine are anyway and they're doing great!
The sides of their enclosure are about 12" tall. The "ambient" light is the only light in there. By ambient I mean the light from within the building which is basically from individual lights over 2 other tables.. and those are only 2' strip-lights. ALL of the lighting in the building is BELOW their walls.
This pic was taken from the end of their 15' table - the closest were 6' away.. the furthest over 10' away.
I had "zoomed" past their water-dish on the pic above.
They were starting to eat their mushrooms when I moved closer and took this pic of a female [ closest ] and male. His head is a very light/bright yellow. [ I'll try to get a male pic tonight ]
I was able to get a couple good shots of this "Butternut" female.. that's what I call her anyway -
See how bright-eyed!?
She is the smallest at 7" SCL...
