How do you get to bond with your tort. How do you get to be friends and for them to like you.

Two years ago when I first got my 2 month leopard, I used to sit with him on my chest and he would walk around. I would soak him, kiss his face and hand feed him his fave food. I still do all this, but I don't expect him to come running when he sees me. I am happy with him not being afraid of me and eating out of my hand.

I think the more you handle them the more they open up to you. Mine doesn't hide in his shell when I pick him up anymore unless I accidentally sneak up on him. He also eats from my hand occasionally. The more handling you can give your tort the better :)

I wouldn't Kiss your tort, just because its cute doesn't mean that it doesn't have salmonella! I take my tort for walks and hand feed him

Feed, feed, feed. The more food you give the more they will like you. None of mine like to be handled but they follow me around the yard because I am their food god:).
