Hi there,

I have a 2 1/2 year old Hermann Tortoise who seems to have a blocked nostril. It's not mucus, more like skin and was wondering how best to remove it? I have been using damp cotton buds to try and get it off but it hasn't really worked :) I don't want to hurt him!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

You can use the pointed end of a flat tooth pick. But be very careful and tender. The tissue in the nares is fragile. I would give the tortoise a good soak first to soften it.
