Been there. Done that. Bled for hours.
They will bite if they get the chance and the tail is a formidable whip/weapon! But it's the claws that get you. They are very, very sharp and I guess they are also full of bacteria so I'm told because you will not only get cut up by them, but then the wounds will itch like crazy.

I handle animals like that everyday. If you are bleeding after the encounter, you've done something wrong!

… I'm just giv'n ya a hard time. :D

Such a pretty boy. I want to hug him too. I've hugged my fair share of pissed off animals though, whether they consented or not.

I've been finding a lot of them this size.
Nice green with blue on the heads.
I gather them up from the work area and release them by a nearby lake with canals.
