Hmm.. it makes him sound like something you order after dinner.... Poor bugger :(

I was going to contact this person and give him some education. However, you have to pay for a subscription to do so. If anyone already has a subscription to the site, please contact this person and educate him/her. It just might help:)

Good idea. I don't have a subscription either, but it came up when I was doing a search.

So sad...

It must be encrusted with diamonds for that price.

Wouldn't cost much to feed this one, as he only "eats a stick of lettuce a day".

I see ads like this all the time and not that I expect everyone to be great spellers, but you generally spell sulcata correctly if you have done some research on the species. Clearly his ad says it all.

The spelling and grammar mistakes alone made me cringe! This person needs to read more often to develop their spelling skills! And perhaps a bit about tortoises would be nice as well. I worry for the poor tortoise! What is a stick of lettuce anyway?

Doesn't sound nutritious but a head of lettuce a day...not a stick? That's scary that he's trying to educate the next person who purchases his tortoise.

I was unaware lettuce came in stick form.

You could probably make a deal with a breeder and get like 30 Sulcatas for that price, or more.

I seem them all the time for 100$.

and a Stick of lettuce.. I bet he is feeding Romaine.. At least it needs a big yard...
And for Dessert... a large plate of Desert Sand!

XD

$200, I can see. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if maybe he meant to put like.. $200.00?

At the very least, it seems the intentions of this...individual...of sorts..is genuine.

There is a sullys adult male .posted in my local Craigslist for 1500. Not a joke either, they keep reposting it actually thinking some Crazyhead will pay that ridiculous price. My local tort club is laughing at it on fb right now. As if there are not enough sullys in rescue to go around.
