Hey I'm new to this forum and new to tortoises I have experience with other reptiles (mainly leopard geckos) I recently purchased a baby sulcata (2 inches) for my mom for mothers day and I do 95% of the care for her I've noticed a small amount of feces building up on her rear but I'm to afraid to clean it very well because she is so fragile so I was wondering what is the best way to clean them without being too rough

You MUST clean this build up off. It will eventually make it hard for him to pass poop and he may die from it. Soak him in a little bowl of warm water for about 15 minutes, then if it doesn't come off by itself, pick it off.

I just recently had to do the same thing. A soft toothbrush can help a lot too.

Just lightly brush it away with your finger or a soft tooth brush during your daily soaks.

You are soaking every day, right?

Have you read the care sheet and other threads at the top of the sulcata page? Please do if not.
