Hi guys-

Our baby hermann has been active and eating well. We've had him for almost two months now. He's approx. 30 grams.

We've been mindful of pyramiding and I've been noticing these ridges/gaps(?) in the plastron. I wasn't sure if this normal.

I'm uploading multiple angles. Could you take a look and let us know your thoughts?

So thankful for all of you providing such helpful insight on this forum!

Thank you!

If you have any pictures of what the bottom side of healthy tortoises should look like, could you please share for comparison? I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

That all looks like healthy new growth. I don't see any problems there.

Moderate humidity and daily soaks for a while will keep your baby healthy and growing. I soak daily until they reach 100 grams.
