Baby food?

I have read that tortoises can eat normal fruit or veg baby food from a jar.

I would really like to give my hermann tortoise something different but would like some advice first.

Has anyone given baby food to a hermann tortoise and did they like it?

There is no need to use baby food for tortoises that have good appetites and eat greens and weeds on their own. The 'baby food trick' is to temp sick tortoises or non-eating tortoises to eat something.

If you're looking for variety, make a list from some of the sites of all the things tortoises can eat and feed three or four things from the list weekly, changing to something new each time you go shopping.
