Hi Everyone
YYYAAAYYY!!!
Last night i became the very proud owner of my first Red foot tort Arry.
She is absolutely stunning beyond belief. (Arry is short for Harriet)
After months of searching for one, my dreams have come true.
I will post some pics later tonight for you all to see.
Ive taken the day off work just so i can stare at her all day with a big cheesy grin on my face!!:D
Im going to leave her for a week for her to get used to her enclosure then we can start bonding.
Cheers People speak later

You have a redfoot. The prefontal plates (scales) on the nose of a YF are divided while on a RF they are solid.View attachment 1240 Congrats on a pretty little RF.

Hi all, i made a tort table out of a shelving unit with the shelves removed and laid on its back, i painted it camo colours and used nontoxic varnish, it is perfect as a tort table while she is still young, i wasnt sure wether she was a Redfoot or not because Arry is very yellow, but i believe that yellowfoots have 2 parrallel scales over her nose where as Arry has a triangular scale over her nose, is this a correct assumption.
Cheers All

Sorry ITORT i have just seen your post about the scales, cheers for clearing that up, will she get more red with age or do they stay the same colour?
